Erythema Infectiosum

Erythema infectiosum aka "Fifth Disease" is a viral illness caused from Parvovirus B19 which affects children ages 5-15. The child appears with a rash on their cheeks "slapped cheek" and spreads down their trunk and extremities. They are most contagious before the rash appears once the rash appears they are no longer contagious. So more than likely KK picked this up from school. He never acted sick or had a fever so he went to school and probably infected more kids. But this is what the rash looked like on him.

  2. I had that as a kid. I don't remember it really spreading on my body, but I had the classic five blistery bumps on my cheeks. It was kind of funny to look at. I was down in bed with it - it was kind of like a cold type thing where I was achy. I was between 5-10...I don't think quite 10 yet. Glad he was feeling fine. Looks like a bad sunburn! LOL!
