Done and Done

I have been working on a crocheted quilt for my baby sister. She graduated from high school this past year and I wanted to make her something. No, I've never really made or given a gift to any of my other siblings but I just felt that I needed to do something special for her. She was the last one to graduate and she always feels shafted because she is the youngest.

AA has a very bright personality. She dances to the beat of her own drum and doesn't fit into any one mold. So when I saw these colors it made me instantly think of her.

(P.S. Don't mind me, I look really weird)

She just recently moved in with my brother and has been making her bedroom a place where she would love to be and I hope this afghan will help her room be that place.

Breaking in the new bed

Mr H. and I have been sleeping on an old bed that I bought at a garage sale for $20 during my college years. This bed is old, no longer comfortable, and it's way beyond it's time. The Friday after Thanksgiving we found a great deal on a new bed...we decided to buy it. We spent a little more than we expected, but found a bed that was a little more soft. The bed was delivered today and Tom and I decided to break it in...

Tonight is the first night we will be sleeping on it. We are excited and hope it helps us get a better nights sleep...because we both need it!

Do you like the quilted crocheted blanket? I made it...I just had to put that out there, I'm so proud of myself because it took me about a year to finish it.
